Boutique Hotel (BGM)
The exterior of the BGM Hotel makes bold use of sharp right angles and diagonal lines to create a distinctive landmark development in the heart of Jakarta. From within a framework of black (brick), the individual rooms face out diagonally, taking on the appearance of small cubes arranged edge up in a box. All rooms face the same way, and are angled to keep out an undesirable amount of direct sunlight, while the large glass windows and balconies still allow for natural light and ventilation.
Vertical green walls and other assorted greenery break up the otherwise stark lines of the exterior with some organic shapes and natural colours.
