Project Apartment Redesign in Urban Suites Condominium, Singapore
Client Business Owner in his 60s
Date 2012

Design Brief

The client,  who travels frequently between Singapore and China, has a simple, yet challenging request – to design an interior space that is not just beautiful, but also wholly personal and uniquely tailored to his lifestyle.

Design Concept

Designed by Kerry Hill Architects, this luxury apartment is located at one of Singapore’s most coveted locations, featuring a panoramic view of the surrounding city skyline. It has intimate, yet spacious communal garden facilities set within a neighbourhood of traditional shophouses.

Our interior designer, Joshua, was tasked to transform the newly purchased apartment into a beautiful personal abode for his client. Joshua created a concept of “timelessness”, with the main focus being the careful orchestration of timeless materials and strategic lighting to achieve the client desire for a personal retreat. He curated a series of original artworks and furniture to be paired with the apartment’s high ceilings and abundant natural light. A palette of neutral tones was chosen to emphasise the abundant natural sunlight permeating into the interior space. Using a minimalist palette of finishes and colours, the outcome was a home of smooth transitions, where calmness and serenity are found.

Budget: $150,000

Timeline: 3 months

Design Concept

Designed by  Kerry Hill Architects, this luxury apartment is located at one of Singapore’s most coveted locations, featuring a panoramic view of the surrounding city skyline. It has intimate, yet spacious communal garden facilities carefully juxtaposed with its neighbouring historical shophouses.

Our interior designer, Joshua, was tasked to transform the newly purchased apartment into a beautiful personal abode for his client. Joshua created a concept of “timelessness”, with the main focus being the careful and delicate orchestration of timeless materials and strategic lighting to achieve the client’s ideal of a wholly personal retreat. He curated a series of original artworks and furniture to be paired with the apartment’s high ceilings and abundant natural light, masterfully and pragmatically coating them with a palette of neutral tones to emphasize the air of joviality from the abundance of natural sunlight which the space has access to. Combined with a high construction quality and apparent minimalism, the outcome was a home of smooth transitions, where calmness and serenity are found.
