Winstudio is a Singapore-based interior design and renovation firm founded in 2009. Our mission is to transform ordinary spaces into extraordinary places.
Originally established as an architectural practice, the company has evolved into a multidisciplinary design and build studio that provides integrated design and renovation solutions for mainly residential projects.
Our approach combines architectural thinking, interior design and construction knowledge to create functional and meaningful spaces. From concept to execution, we seek to improve both the quality of the environment and the experience of the people who use it.
We believe every project is unique. Through close collaboration with our clients, we develop solutions that respond to their brief, budget, aspirations and the specific conditions of each site. Rather than applying a fixed design formula, we see constraints as opportunities to create thoughtful and distinctive spaces.
In the past, the firm has undertaken projects across the Asia-Pacific region, including China, Indonesia, Myanmar and Malaysia. Its portfolio includes residential and commercial interiors, hospitality, mixed-use developments and architectural projects of various scales. We have now focused on creating dual key homes in Singapore.
Winstudio is led by director Winston Lim, who brings more than 20 years of professional experience with Gensler in Los Angeles and Kerry Hill Architects, DP Architects, Nikken Sekkei International and MKPL Architects in Singapore. Using his previous architectural experience, Winston leads the company’s design direction with a strong attention to detail, construction and project execution.

What does Winstudio do?
Winstudio provides interior design, renovation and main-contractor services for HDB flats and condominiums. We handle the project from space planning and design through renovation coordination and completion.
Do you provide both design and renovation?
Yes. We can provide the interior design and renovation works together, so the design intent, site coordination and construction are managed as one integrated project.
Do you renovate HDB flats?
Yes. We specialise in HDB renovation, including 3-room, 4-room, 5-room and larger homes, subject to HDB requirements and the specific scope of work.
Do you renovate condominiums?
Yes. We also undertake condominium renovation and interior design. The scope will take into account the condominium's management rules, renovation hours, approvals and site restrictions.
Can you do only renovation without interior design?
Yes, depending on the project. We can discuss a renovation-only scope, although a proper layout and coordinated design is recommended where the project involves significant changes.
Can you do only interior design?
Yes. We can provide design and space-planning services where the client intends to appoint another contractor. We can also provide an integrated design-and-build solution.
Pricing
How much does a typical renovation cost?
There is no single fixed price because cost depends on the home's size, existing condition, layout, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, finishes and design scope. After understanding your requirements, we can prepare a project-specific quotation.
Why is your renovation more expensive than some quotations?
Renovation quotations are not directly comparable unless the scope, materials, workmanship, project management and exclusions are the same. We focus on delivering a properly coordinated project rather than simply the lowest initial price.
Can you give me a quotation over WhatsApp?
We can provide an initial indication after reviewing your requirements, but an accurate quotation normally requires the floor plan, site information, intended scope and material specifications.
Can you work within my budget?
Yes. We can work backwards from your budget and prioritise the items that have the greatest impact on functionality, space and appearance. The key is to agree on the scope before selecting finishes and details.
Do you have a minimum renovation budget?
The appropriate budget depends on the size and complexity of the project. Rather than imposing a one-size-fits-all minimum, we prefer to assess the scope and determine whether the project can be delivered realistically within the available budget.
Can you provide an itemised quotation?
Yes. We can structure the quotation by work categories so you can understand what is included, what is excluded and where the major costs are.
Are there hidden costs?
Our aim is to make the scope and exclusions clear before work starts. If the client requests changes, upgrades or additional works after the agreed scope, those items will be separately discussed and quoted.
